Shelton Benjamin Turns On Major AEW Star On Dynamite

Shelton Benjamin

Shelton Benjamin is nobody’s fool, and on Dynamite, he finally had enough of one AEW star.

For weeks, MJF begged The Hurt Syndicate to welcome him into their group. MVP was the first to relent as he saw the positives of having the former AEW World Champion as part of the group, and Shelton Benjamin was next to relent after receiving the gift of a watch. Bobby Lashley eventually succumbed to give MJF the third thumbs up he needed to join after seeing that The Salt of the Earth could live up to the mantra of “We hurt people.”

But things turned very sour, very quickly in the aftermath of All In Texas, where MJF won the Casino Gauntlet to earn a match for the AEW World Championship.

The Hurt Syndicate helped out Adam Copeland with his FTR problem on the July 23rd edition of Dynamite, and this enraged MJF. MJF demanded an explanation as to why they were helping Cope and why the group was nowhere to be seen when he was face-to-face with AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page. Bobby Lashley snapped, shoving MJF into lockers and telling him he was sick of him and wanted him out of the group.

Shelton Benjamin Gives MJF Thumbs Down

Now, on the July 30th edition of Dynamite, MJF has tried to make peace with the group, but could only find Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin made clear MVP wasn’t at the show because he was disgusted by MJF’s actions before revealing he’s known all along that the gifted watch he received was a fake. Benjamin ended the segment by delivering another damning thumbs down as MJF’s time in The Hurt Syndicate seems to be very close to its end.
