Sheamus Breaks Silence On WWE Future

Sheamus

Former World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus has issued his first public comment after news broke confirming the status of his future with WWE.

In early September it was reported that WWE was in talks with several stars regarding new contracts. That news came after it was reported that Asuka had signed a new long-term deal with the company.

And now one multi-time world champion is staying put in WWE.

Fightful Select reported that Sheamus has penned a new multi-year agreement with the company. The Irish star’s last deal was set to expire earlier in 2024 with time added due to months missed because of injury.

Sheamus Celebrates Future With WWE

Taking to social media, Sheamus has responded to the news being made public as he celebrates years of bangers to come with a pint of the black stuff:

Here’s to many more years of getting paid for doing what i love most.. kicking fellas in the face & having banger after banger.. ANNND thanks to each ‘n’ every one of you beautiful legends Sláinte

Sheamus’ compatriot Becky Lynch is the one notable exception in WWE’s push to sign up talent to new deals. Despite Lynch’s husband Seth Rollins signing a new contract with WWE, Becky Lynch left the company after her own deal came to an end.

It is still widely expected that The Man will be back in WWE at some point in the future rather than embarking on a deal in AEW or anywhere else.
