Shawn Michaels Invites WWE Hall Of Famer To NXT

A WWE Hall of Famer could be headed to NXT after being extended an invitation by Shawn Michaels.

It was an eventful night as the WWE NXT brand presented the Halloween Havoc PLE from Hershey, PA. Champions like Trick Williams and Tony D’Angelo retained their titles while Fallon Henley won the NXT Women’s North American Title from Kelani Jordan thanks to an assist from Henley’s friends in the Fatal Influence group.

One of the more personal rivalries on the show was the Ambulance Match that saw Ridge Holland defeat the Chase U leader Andre Chase. Holland won the match, but what got people talking the most was that Holland confronted WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley twice. Bubba was there along with Dave LaGreca since they co-host Busted Open Radio and were invited to be at the show to talk about the card.

After the main event that saw Trick Williams beat Ethan Page, Trick was attacked by Page and Holland. Bubba Ray Dudley decided that was a good time to get some revenge against Holland, so Bubba ran out there to save Trick. Bubba cleared the ring while standing tall beside Trick as Page and Holland.

Bubby Ray Dudley Reveals What Shawn Michaels Told Him About Future WWE NXT Appearance

Shawn Michaels is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer with an official job title of Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative of WWE. Michaels is also the booker of the NXT brand, which means he calls the shots about what happens on NXT shows.

After what happened at Halloween Havoc, WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley revealed on Busted Open Radio (a show that Bubba co-hosts multiple times per week) that Shawn Michaels invited him to NXT on October 29th.

“Shawn (Michaels) actually invited me to go to NXT tomorrow. He’s like, ‘The door’s open if you ever wanna come. Door’s open.’ What I said last week: ‘How do you turn down the invitation to Halloween Havoc?’ And now if he says, ‘Hey, do you wanna come to NXT? The door’s open.’ Do I go? Do I address this with Ridge (Holland)? What would you do?”

Bubba Ray Dudley will likely accept the invitation from Shawn Michaels. The November 6th NXT episode is taking place at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. That’s the former ECW Arena where Bubba performed many times as one of the greatest ECW legends of all time.

For fans not aware of his post-WWE career, Bubba has wrestled in the last few years for TNA and other places like Maple Leaf Pro over a week ago. Even though he’s in his early 50s and not a full-timer in any wrestling company, Bubba is still competing in the ring.

Could Bubba be in action in Philly in a tag team match with Trick Williams or a singles match? Fans will have to tune in to see NXT television to find out what happens next.
