Shawn Michaels Threatened WWE Veteran Backstage, Triple H Involved

Shawn Michaels is a renowned pro-wrestler in the industry and an extremely important figure in WWE.

Shawn Michaels had threatened Vince Russo

While speaking to Maven Huffman, former WWE Head Writer Vince Russo revealed that the WrestleMania 15 main event was booked with Mick Foley, The Rock, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Shawn Michaels was out at the time, but got involved in it, and Mick Foley was out of the main event. Ultimately, Foley was the special referee.

This did not sit well with Vince Russo, and he voiced his displeasure to Triple H, who he knew would say it to The Heartbreak Kid.

We worked very closely together that way. On the other side of the coin, the only wrestler to ever threaten me. We had WrestleMania booked, and it was supposed to be a three-way between Mick, Rock, and um uh uh Austin. I think it was at the Garden. This meant the world to Mick. Mick was a Long Island guy, headlining WrestleMania. I could not wait to tell Mick this is what was booked. Shawn, who wasn’t working at the time, he was out hurt or whatever. Shows up to this TV, starts getting in Rock’s ear and Austin’s ear, and Vince’s ear, and the next thing you know, Mick’s out of the main event. So, I remember I was so freaking hot. I cut a promo on Triple H on Shawn.

So, of course, I know Triple H is going to go to Shawn and tell him everything I said. So, Shawn came up to me, but I got to tell you, he had the best line. He came up to me and he threatened me and he ended it with, “And I know I could take you”, you know, which kind of popped me at the end.. But love-hate relationship with the guy.

Vince Russo added that despite everything, he believes Shawn Michaels was one of the greatest pro-wrestlers.
