Shawn Michaels Teases “Big Surprises” For WWE Roster

Shawn Michaels has hinted at more WWE roster surprises in the future.

In his role as WWE Senior Vice President Of Talent Creative Development, Michaels oversees an NXT brand that is going from strength to strength ahead of it’s switch to the CW Network on 1st October.

In recent months the WWE’s third brand has seen a host of surprising appearances, including the likes of Joe Hendry and Jordynne Grace alongside the recent arrival of former Stardom star Giulia.

Speaking recently on ‘The Takedown‘, Michaels had high praise for the NXT women’s roster and promised even further surprise additions further down the line:

“The best stacked women’s roster in all of the world, if you ask me. Roxanne Perez, Kelani Jordan, Jaida Parker, and then of course, two of the hottest free agents in all the world with Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer.

And there are other big, big surprises coming down the pike. If you thought we were stacked before, you haven’t seen anything yet. And that goes on both sides of the roster.”

Shawn Michaels Praises WWE Women’s Roster

Shawn Michaels would go on to have high praise for the women of WWE, highlighting the current crop of talent across all three of the company’s brands.

The former WWE Champion also hinted at main roster futures for the many of NXT’s current female stars:

“Right now, whether it be Raw or SmackDown, there are some of the most talented women in all the world. You talk about Bayley, Charlotte Flair, IYO SKY, and numerous others.

And then you think about the possibility of adding a Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Jaida Parker, or a Roxanne Perez to that list. Absolutely unbelievable for the future of the WWE as a whole. We’re very excited about the work that we’re doing.”
