Shawn Michaels Confined To Scooter After Serious Surgery

Shawn Michaels underwent successful double knee replacement surgery in late 2025, addressing decades of damage from his in-ring career.​

Michaels confirmed plans for the procedure in September 2025 on the “Nightcap” podcast, noting it would follow prior surgeries, including a back fusion and shoulder replacement.

In a recent post, Michaels revealed that Triple H gave him a motorized scooter as a late birthday present amid recovery after going under the knife.

The WWE’s Senior VP of Talent Development Creative also shared a video where he can be seen using the scooter to navigate NXT backstage, causing minor chaos, like knocking over equipment.

“A couple of months ago, it was my birthday, but also I got both of my knees replaced. And because of all that, my best friend got me a brand-new late birthday gift, but a gift nonetheless. Unfortunately, I’m afraid that gift backfired quite a bit,” Michaels said.

In an interview with Wrestling Epicenter in November 2025, former WWE star Dijak opened up about his professional relationship with Shawn Michaels. He talked about what he learned from HBK and what makes him the best wrestler ever.

Obviously, he was unbelievably helpful with the wrestling. But, also, he understands that I’m a big man and obviously I’m going to sell something differently than a smaller wrestler.

He is also really incredible at getting more out of moments. That is why I think he is the greatest in-ring wrestler of all time.
