Shawn Michaels Praises “Special” NXT Stars

WWE NXT boss Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels is predicting big things for his exciting NXT stars.

Despite already boasting some of the most impressive female talent in the world, in recent months WWE has added Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer to its ranks. The pair are widely regarded as two of the top female wrestlers on the planet and they’ve landed in NXT with a point to prove.

On October 22nd, the new signings were finally joined by Australian star DELTA, who will now be known as ZARIA.

The star debuted just seconds after Giulia and Vaquer had teamed up to defeat Fatal Influence. It’s already been announced that the pair will join forces once again at Halloween Havoc to take on Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade.

In recent weeks a returning Jade cost Giulia the NXT Women’s Title just as she looked set to beat Roxanne Perez.

Shawn Michaels Comments On The Special Talents At His Disposal

During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, NXT boss Shawn Michaels looked ahead to Halloween Havoc and the grudge match between the brand’s top women. HBK was full of praise for Giulia and Vaquer, before also tipping his hat to rising stars Perez and Jade.

“You can see the special talents that they are and why WWE and NXT went after both of them. They have ‘it.’ You can see it when they come out. They have a presence about them.

Looking at Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade, they’ll tell you that you can get along with and have a great relationship with people behind the scenes, but when the newbies come in and there is excitement, there is a good wholesome competition going on in our women’s division because it is so stacked. You have people coming into NXT with outside fanfare and our girls take offense too it.

Nobody more than Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade. From Roxanne’s standpoint, she feels she’s a pillar. They’re looking to make those two girls prove themselves. I think Stephanie and Giulia understand that. They have been great since coming to NXT. They are still finding their footing on a day-to-day basis, but when they step inside the ring, those two are ready to go and take NXT and WWE by storm.”

The comments come after Cody Rhodes said he believes NXT is no longer developmental, adding he’s been “blown away” by the talent on display.
