Shawn Michaels Lavishes Praise On Unique WWE Star

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels has not held back on his praise for one overlooked star in the company.

Shawn Michaels is the man in charge of NXT, choosing which stars make it and which don’t on WWE’s third brand. 2025 in NXT has been marked with a working partnership with TNA that has seen several WWE stars hold TNA championships.

Things went the other way at NXT Showdown when TNA stars The Hardys captured the NXT Tag Team Championship from DarkState.

While The Hardys might be nearer the end of their career, Shawn Michaels had some words of encouragement for one star who hopefully has a lot of years ahead of them.

Shawn Michaels Is A Big Fan Of Tatum Paxley

Speaking to The Dallas Morning News, Shawn Michaels praised Tatum Paxley and said it’s been a real joy to watch her storyline development over the past few years:

Tatum (Paxley) is an unbelievably unique individual when it comes to being an NXT superstar. She has connected with our audience in a way that very few people have. She is the girl next door, but she also has these dark and kind of strange qualities that endear people to her.

The arc of her storyline over the last several years has just been something that’s been incredibly fun to watch. It’s been an absolute blast to be a part of.

Tatum Paxley was aligned with Shotzi and Gigi Dolin on WWE television, but that group was cut short when Dolin and Shotzi were released by the company. Since then, she has found a new partner in Izzi Dame. The pair have challenged for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, but Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair retained their gold.
