Shawn Michaels “A Loose Cannon” Says WWE Hall Of Famer
Shawn Michaels was well known throughout the nineties for his bad behaviour outside of the ring just as much as he was for his great performances in it.
Michaels’ penchant for politicking meant he talked his way out of losing many matches and even championships as a result of having the ear of Vince McMahon as one of the top stars in WWE.
Not everybody appreciated Shawn Michaels’ antics and as the legend has it, The Undertaker was ready to step in after taping his fists if The Heartbreak Kid refused to lose to Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 14.
Speaking on his Foley Is Pod podcast, Mick Foley explained that he was not aware of The Undertaker’s threatening gesture until after the show and also referenced his behaviour during the 2005 bout with Hulk Hogan that had him overselling all of The Hulkster’s offense to a ludicrous degree:
“I didn’t know about [The Undertaker taping his fists] until afterward. Shawn was a consummate performer though… He’ll be the first to admit there was a good and a bad Shawn, even good Shawn did those overdramatic bumps against Hogan.
“He was a little bit of a loose cannon so I think there would be ample concern [about his match].”
Shawn Michaels recently revealed he wishes one WWE dream match that never happened could have, as he says he’d have loved to have taken on The Rock – another man who famously wasn’t HBK’s biggest fan.
