Shane McMahon Finally Reveals Truth About Starting Wrestling Promotion With Vince McMahon

Shane McMahon and Vince McMahon on WWE RAW

Shane McMahon finally broke his silence on the rumors suggesting that he and his father, Vince McMahon, might start a new wrestling promotion.

Vince McMahon left the Stamford-based company last year amid being sued by former WWE employee Janel Grant. His son, Shane McMahon, is also no longer in WWE.

Over the past few months, the two were spotted together attending sports events. Despite speculations about Shane and Vince’s relationship, their recent sightings sparked rumors that they might be planning to start a new wrestling promotion.

Shane O’Mac addressed the subject in a recent interview with TMZ. Although he emphasized that anything could happen, the 55-year-old denied these rumors:

You never know what’s going to happen out there. Of course, anything can happen in WWE. But those rumors are false.

Shane McMahon didn’t rule out his father reacquiring WWE

In his chat with TMZ, Shane McMahon also responded to the rumors suggesting his father, Vince McMahon, could reacquire his former company.

The former SmackDown Tag Team Champion refused to rule out the possibility that the former chairman would take that step, stating that anything is possible:

Well, he owns a big part of TKO still, so you never know what’s going to happen there either. So, I’m not trying to be vague. I’m just saying anything can happen, of course.

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently speculated that Vince McMahon could return to the Stamford-based company with the help of his Saudi partners. He even suggested a deal might have been struck between the former chairman and TKO CEO Ari Emanuel.
