Shane McMahon Rehabbing Injury With NFL Star (VIDEO)

Shane McMahon

Shane McMahon is putting in the work to get back after a serious leg injury and he’s being joined in rehab by a future NFL Hall of Famer.

There weren’t that many major surprises at WrestleMania 39 last month, but one of them took place when “Here Comes The Money” hit and Shane McMahon, the only son of WWE’s Executive Chairman Vince McMahon, entered for an impromptu match against The Miz. It was Shane’s first time on WWE TV since Royal Rumble 2022.

This wasn’t the first time that Shane McMahon and The Miz met at a WrestleMania since they had a Falls Count Anywhere match at WrestleMania 35 in 2019 when a heel Shane got the win.

Things didn’t go so well at WrestleMania 39 because when Shane’s match with The Miz started, Shane did a leapfrog and tore his left quadriceps muscle when he landed. Shane was quickly helped out of the ring and Snoop Dogg would go on to beat Miz in an “impromptu” match that will probably be a contender for Worst Match of the Year later this year.

It’s the same injury that his father Vince suffered famously at Royal Rumble 2005 when he went into the ring. Vince ended up tearing two quads that day! Triple H, who is Shane’s brother-in-law due to his marriage to Stephanie McMahon, also tore two quads in WWE first in May 2001 and then in early 2007 as well.

As most WWE fans know, rehab for a torn quad can be lengthy. For Triple H’s two comebacks, he missed about eight months each time, so we probably won’t see Shane McMahon in a WWE ring again until perhaps some point in 2024.

In a video that he posted on his Instagram account, Shane McMahon could be seen on an exercise bike next to Von Miller of the NFL’s Buffalo Bills. As an 8-time Pro Bowl outside linebacker that is known for his great pass rusher, Miller is likely a lock for the NFL Hall of Fame when he retires. He signed a six-year deal with the Bills one year ago.

Miller is a two-time Super Bowl Champion (most recently with the LA Rams winning Super Bowl 56 in February 2022) that plays for the Buffalo Bills. Miller suffered a torn ACL in December 2022, so he has a lengthy rehab process as well. The good news is the next NFL season is in September, so Miller could be ready to return by then or at least soon after the start of the season.

Shane McMahon is doing his rehab at SandersFit in Dallas, Texas and had another video with NFL great Derrick Henry as well.
