Several WWE Stars Unhappy With Theme Music
Not everyone in WWE is happy with their current presentation.
The Royal Rumble is one of the most highly-anticipated events on the wrestling calendar, but the 2025 edition of the spectacular highlighted one glaring problem in the eyes of fans.
While a packed house in Indianapolis cheered the returns of Alexa Bliss, AJ Styles, Nikki Bella, Trish Stratus, and Charlotte Flair, fans were left confused during stretches of both Rumble matches.
During the show, social media was flooded with posts from fans in attendance and watching at home, who struggled to identify wrestlers entering the Rumble thanks to their bland theme music. This has been a common complaint for several months, with fans claiming the vast majority of themes produced by Def Rebel sound too similar and lack the spark of theme music from years past.
Interestingly, it seems fans aren’t the only ones annoyed with the situation.
WWE Stars Unhappy With Theme Music
According to a new report from Fightful Select, several WWE stars are as frustrated with their entrance music as fans are. As noted previously, no talent who had spoken to Fightful recalled working with Def Rebel’s producers on their music, and several have “expressed unhappiness with the quality” of the songs. As a result, the stars in question have tried to get their old music back.
WWE has also made requests to change several themes that talent have “vehemently pushed back on.”
The reports added that while some talents have been able to keep their music, others haven’t been so lucky.
“Very few people” on the roster are happy with their Def Rebel-produced music and multiple in-coming talents have made an effort to keep their existing themes.
When making her official WWE debut at the Royal Rumble, Jordynne Grace used her TNA music as she owns the rights to the theme.
Fightful has been unable to determine when Def Rebel’s WWE contract expires.
