Seth Rollins Insults CM Punk At WWE Live Event

Seth Rollins CM Punk on WWE Raw.

Seth Rollins dealt with CM Punk chants at a WWE live event by taking a shot at Punk.

The WWE holiday tour continued on Friday, December 29th with the Raw crew in Toronto. In the main event, World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins defeated Shinsuke Nakamura and Drew McIntyre to retain his championship.

After the match when Rollins was addressing the crowd, the fans greeted him with “CM Punk” chants. It should be noted that CM Punk was not at the show although Punk did beat Dominik Mysterio at Madison Square Garden in New York City on December 26th.

In response to the CM Punk chants, Seth Rollins told the Toronto crowd that Punk wasn’t there and that Punk only cared about himself.

“What do y’all think, he’s going to pop through that curtain tonight? He ain’t going to come tonight because, you know what, he doesn’t give a damn about y’all.”

“Hey, I’ve been honest. I’ve said this about CM Punk from day one. CM Punk only gives a damn about CM Punk. But hey, you know what? You’ve all paid your hard-earned money to come here and chant for the dude who isn’t going to show up.”

After the CM Punk chants quieted down, the fans changed their tune literally by singing Seth’s theme song instead.

Seth Rollins Calls CM Punk’s WWE Return A “Disappointment”

On the Absolute Best of WWE Raw, Seth Rollins appeared at home to talk about CM Punk’s return.

“It was such a mixture of emotions, rage and disappointment. But also like you kinda knew it was coming, and then when you hear it, it was almost like a disbelief, like you’ve seen a ghost. But a ghost that you really want to punch in the mouth, I guess is the best way to put it.”

While Rollins may sound genuine in his criticisms of CM Punk, it’s important to remember that there are rumors that this could be a WrestleMania 39 match.

CM Punk and Seth Rollins are both scheduled to wrestle at tonight’s WWE Live Event in Inglewood (Los Angeles), California. After that, Rollins will defend the World Heavyweight Title against Drew McIntyre on the January 1st edition of Day 1 Raw.
