Seth Rollins Shares Details Of WWE Contract, Hints At Plan To Step Away
Seth Rollins is already looking ahead.
Heading into the final months of 2025, Seth Rollins is on top of the world. He’s the current World Heavyweight Champion, one of the centre pieces of Monday Night Raw, at the head of arguably the most dominant faction in the company, and he’s recently been joined in that alliance by his wife, Becky Lynch.
But while many of WWE’s current stars are looking to extend their careers for as long as possible, Rollins could take a different route.
Ahead of his meeting with CM Punk and AJ Lee alongside Lynch at Wrestlepalooza, Rollins sat down with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco to discuss his plans for the future.
He confirmed that his current contract has a “couple of years” left to run, and after that he might step back to spend more time with his young daughter.
“I don’t know if I want to do it into my 50s. I have a couple of years left on my contract in WWE. My daughter is four-and-a-half, almost five. I wouldn’t mind spending some extra time with her in a few years. We’ll see what happens.
I love this business; I’ve given my entire life to it, and it’s given me a great life. I met my wife through this business, I have my daughter because I met my wife through this business. I’m able to provide jobs at my wrestling school down in Iowa for other people. I’ve built a mini-empire out of this industry.
I imagine in some capacity I will stay involved one way or another for as long as I can.”
Seth Rollins Held Talks Over Backstage Role
During an interview back in February, Seth Rollins confirmed that he’d already held early talks about taking up a management role in WWE. He said that while he remains focused on wrestling and his immediate future, there have been conversations about his future following retirement.
Interestingly, Cody Rhodes believes there’s a “fight” emerging between several top stars to eventually replace Triple H. He admitted that he’d like to think he’d do well in the position, Rollins and CM Punk are also firmly in contention.
