Seth Rollins Addresses WrestleMania Main Event – “I Want That Spot”

Seth Rollins gave his opinion about the WrestleMania main event saying he feels slighted by not being in that match.

As WWE fans know, the way to the main event of WrestleMania main event for most of the talent is to win the Men’s or Women’s Royal Rumble match. This year’s winners of those matches were Cody Rhodes and Rhea Ripley. The win by Cody means he’ll challenge for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championships held by Roman Reigns while Rhea Ripley made the choice to challenge Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

Since WrestleMania 39 will take place over two nights on Saturday, April 1st, and Sunday, April 2nd, it’s possible that Cody and Rhea will both headline WrestleMania this year or maybe just one of them depending on what the two main events are.

In the case of Seth Rollins, when he won the Royal Rumble match in 2019, he didn’t get to main event WrestleMania 35. Instead, his match with Brock Lesnar went on first with Rollins winning the WWE Universal Title while his wife Becky Lynch’s match main evented the show against Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.

During an appearance on Sports Guys Talk Wrestling, Seth Rollins was asked if he thinks Cody Rhodes can beat Roman Reigns.

“I don’t know the answer to that question, man. It’s very hard for me to look at that match unbiased. I want that match. I want that spot. I want that title and to not have it — there’s a lot of salt in the wound having to talk about it. So it’s difficult for me to analyze.”

As he continued, Seth Rollins had a tough time giving an official WrestleMania main event match prediction while adding that he feels slighted not to be a part of it.

“You’ve got Roman Reigns, who’s on an incredible run, but you’ve got Cody Rhodes, who’s riding a lot of momentum. So when those two guys meet — if that is the match. It could be Sami Zayn in that spot. Who knows? We’ll see after [WWE Elimination Chamber]. It’s going to be a generational main event of WrestleMania. Again, hard for me to feel any way but slighted by it. So that is what it is.”

While Seth Rollins is considered by many people to be one of the best performers in WWE, it doesn’t appear as though he’ll get that main event spot. Instead, Rollins is expected to face Logan Paul at WrestleMania 39. It’s expected that Rollins will push that storyline more this week on WWE Raw when he’s a guest on Miz TV.
