Seth Rollins did a wonderful for his late friend Brodie Lee at a WWE Live Event on Saturday night.

In December 2020, it was announced that Jon Huber passed away at the age of 41. Huber died of a non-Covid related lung issue. Huber was best known in WWE as Luke Harper while his AEW name was Brodie Lee, which is also what he used before he started in AEW. Many people would refer to him as “Brodie” even when he was wrestling as Luke Harper in WWE.

After Brodie’s death in December 2020, Seth Rollins wrote an incredible tribute on Instagram for his late friend. Here’s part of what he wrote:

“I was hoping at some point that the perfect words would come to me, but the truth is I still can’t even come to terms with reality on this one. My heart is so broken. I loved Brodie. He was truly all the great things everyone has already said he is and if you ever met him you’d have known it in an instant.”

“He was a loving husband. A devoted father. He was a kind soul. A loyal friend. He was a grinder too, man. Passionate and thoughtful. Smart and funny. Dude had an infectious laugh and was such a sh*t stirrer. He was a person I looked forward to…and it god damn kills me to know I’ll never be able to do that again…”

“Back in FCW, I vouched HARD for Brodie to get hired at WWE based on knowing and working with him briefly in ROH. We spent a little time in Tampa together, but The Shield debut took me on the road pretty soon after he moved down. Luckily, the Wyatt Family followed us out of developmental shortly thereafter and let me tell you he was a real treat to have on the road. That’s where we really got to know each other.”

“I looked up to Brodie. Not just because he was a physical mountain of a man, but because of how he was as a father and husband. And as I venture into those realms myself now, I really hope I can carry a bit of him with me. I hope I can be to my family even a little of what he was to his.”

During their WWE careers, Rollins worked with Brodie quite a bit, especially during tag team matches featuring their groups The Shield and the Wyatt Family. They also wrestled in singles matches plenty of times and were even allies too.

Last night a WWE live event, Seth “Freakin” Rollins was wrestling in Rochester, New York, which is Brodie’s hometown. Rollins did a brief promo talking about how much he loved his late friend Brodie. Thanks to Ella Jay on Twitter for sharing this.

“He passed away a couple of years ago around this time and this is the first time I’ve been here with a microphone in my hand in this city to tell him how much I miss him and how much I love him.”

“I just wanted to say tonight was for him, every time we are in Rochester, in my heart, that means we’re here for him. It’s Saturday, and you know what that means, so do your damn thing and sing my song.”
