Seth Rollins Responds To The Shield Topping PWI 500

Seth Rollins World Heavyweight Champion

Seth Rollins didn’t have to say much to get his point across about the 2022-2023 PWI 500 ratings.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated is one of the longest-running magazines covering professional wrestling. Like the Wrestling Observer, PWI has its own share of wrestler awards and rankings done on a yearly basis.

But unlike the WON, PWI’s rankings are more in-universe and take storyline accomplishments into consideration.

Earlier today, PWI released its annual top 500 list lists the most successful wrestlers from all over the world. This list goes far beyond the biggest companies and has included wrestlers from IMPAT (Josh Alexander, #9), MLW (Alexander Hammerstone, #18), NOAH (Kaito Kiyomiya, #29), Dragon Gate (Shun Skywalker, #33), DDT (Kazusada Higuchi, #55), NWA (Tyrus, #58), and AJPW (Kento Miyahara, #68).

The full list can be found here.

But what has gotten most interest is who has topped the list, and for 2023 the top three spots all belong to members of the Shield, with Rollins #1, Roman Reigns at #2, and Jon Moxley at #3. Rollins, who is currently World Heavyweight Champion on RAW, didn’t say a single word in response to this and instead posted a single image on Twitter: that of the three Shield members fist-bumping together.
