How Seth Rollins Suffered A “Two-Part” Injury Explained
Seth Rollins’ recent match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event ended in concern, not celebration.
The Visionary faced LA Knight in a highly anticipated clash, but what was meant to be a statement performance took a painful turn. Seth Rollins appeared to injure his leg during the bout, leading to heavy speculation about his health and how long he might be out of action.
According to former WWE star Stevie Richards, the injury was more complex than it seemed. On The Stevie Richards Show, Richards broke down footage of the incident and suggested The Visionary may have suffered what he called a “two-part” injury, an initial tweak followed by a more severe impact moments later.
“Everybody thinks when he [Seth Rollins] landed on the backflip, this the the part two of Swanton and then the moonsault, but he lands on his feet. Did you notice the first part of this when he landed? His leg was underneath him. His knee was underneath him. Now he sells the right knee.”
“You would think it’s the left leg right here, but I think it’s this (right knee). The leg buckles here. So, he’s trying to get to his feet. He’s on his toe and his leg buckles in there. So, I think this is a two-part injury.”
“See that little knee buckle on the inside? At first, I thought this (left) knee might be hurt. See how he lands like that? But as he gets up and there is a little bit of a wobble. I just think he might have had it tweaked. And it’s an MCL injury.”
Paul Heyman Addresses Seth Rollins’ Injury on RAW
While WWE has yet to release an official medical update, some reports suggest Seth Rollins could be facing up to nine months on the shelf, though that remains unconfirmed. The injury comes at a crucial time for The Visionary, who won the Money in the Bank briefcase just last month and was seen as a top contender heading into SummerSlam.
In a backstage segment following the match, Paul Heyman was asked about Rollins’ status. However, The Wise Man stated that he had no new information, leaving fans to speculate. The one certainty is that The Visionary still has until next June to cash in his briefcase, assuming he recovers in time.
