Seth Rollins Allegedly Set To Suffer Massive Betrayal From WWE Star

Seth Rollins WWE

Seth Rollins pulled off the “Ruse of the Century” at WWE SummerSlam 2025.

The angle began when Rollins appeared to suffer a serious knee injury during a brutal match against LA Knight at Saturday Night’s Main Event XL in early July. Fans and WWE talent were led to believe the injury was real, as The Visionary limped and was helped backstage with crutches. This kept him off TV for weeks, building suspense.

Then, at SummerSlam, Rollins returned limping with crutches, accompanied by Paul Heyman, only to drop the act suddenly. He blindsided CM Punk with the Money in the Bank cash-in, delivering a quick curb stomp and winning the World Heavyweight Championship in just 12 seconds. The stunt echoed his legendary WrestleMania 31 cash-in, cementing Rollins’ reputation as a master of deception in the WWE ring.

Bron Breakker May Betray Seth Rollins

Despite Seth Rollins riding high on his momentum, veteran wrestling journalist Bill Apter believes trouble is brewing. Apter predicts that his faction mate, Bron Breakker, could turn against his leader to launch his own singles run. Breakker’s rise has been impressive, and insiders believe WWE’s creative team is planting seeds for a future betrayal.

Apter explained on the UnSKripted podcast that Breakker “has got to become an individual,” and this could involve friction with Rollins. This anticipated turn would shake up the faction and set Breakker on a path to main event status, possibly headlining WrestleMania one day.

“I think Bron Breakker will turn. I never say turn on… turn against Seth Rollins. I think that’s gonna be somewhere down the road. You can tell that Bron Breakker is looking to break out on his own a bit… I think they are looking at him as Paul Heyman would say, he’s the future of the business. He is gonna headline WrestleMania. But he has gotta get out of the (faction), he has gotta become an individual.” [23:28 onwards]

Seth Rollins’ Fatal 4-Way Title Defense Set At Clash In Paris

On the August 11 episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, CM Punk and LA Knight faced Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in a tag team match. Rollins interfered, attacking Punk and Knight and causing a disqualification. Fans then saw Jey Uso come out to rescue the babyfaces.

This sparked chaos and a brawl that led to RAW General Manager Adam Pearce announcing a high-stakes Fatal 4-Way match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Rollins will defend his title against CM Punk, LA Knight, and Jey Uso at WWE Clash in Paris.
