Seth Rollins To Continue Rivalry With CM Punk On WWE Raw

Seth Rollins rivalry with CM Punk looks set to gain further momentum on Raw.

The pair are on a collision course for a huge battle on the 6th January edition of Raw as the company’s flagship show makes its Netflix debut after a decade-long deal worth a staggering $500 million per year was agreed.

The duo have been at odds since Seth Rollins branded CM Punk a cancer ahead of his firing from AEW following a backstage scrap with Jack Perry at AEW All In 2023. Rollins was also visibly furious after the ‘Second City Saint’ made his shock return to the company at Survivor Series later that year.

It looked as though the rivals would meet in a huge bout at WrestleMania XL before Punk suffered a torn triceps muscle during the 2024 Royal Rumble match. Rollins would instead go on to be involved in both nights of the company’s top Premium Live Event, teaming with Cody Rhodes to battle The Rock and Roman Reigns on Night One before losing his World Heavyweight Championship to Drew McIntyre in the opening bout on Night Two.

WWE backstage interviewer Jackie Redmond took to social media to announce an exclusive sitdown interview and teased that the former World Heavyweight Champion would have some big things to say ahead of the highly anticipated bout:

“Oooh. You thought he was done talking !? Haha nah. This Monday, I go 1on1 with Seth Rollins in an exclusive sitdown interview and it gets REAL !

See what the visionary has to say this Monday on #WWERAW”

Seth Rollins Names Career Moment That Changed Industry

Seth Rollins believes that he helped to shape the current state of wrestling alongside former Shield stablemates Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.

The trio dominated WWE from the moment they made their main roster debut at Survivor Series 2012 until their eventual breakup following Rollins’ betrayal of his friends on the 2nd June 2014 edition of Raw.

The trio made an undeniable impact on the industry, with Rollins recently claiming that the shocking breakup of The Shield helped to create a ripple effect that led to wrestling’s current popularity boom.
