Seth Rollins

WWE megastar Seth Rollins recently shed some light on his developmental days and how he met Vince McMahon

Seth Rollins’ WWE career has been illustrious to say the least. The Architect debuted in WWE in 2012 as a part of the SHIELD faction alongside Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.

Since then, the man who would later call himself The Visionary has been a 6-time WWE World Champion and, having held all the other top titles at some point, is also their 19th Grand Slam Champion.

The 39-year-old is a dependable performer and regular main event star for the Stamford-based promotion. He is known for his in-ring skills, storytelling ability and professionalism as a WWE superstar.

Before he debuted in Vince McMahon-run WWE, Rollins was part of the company’s territorial developmental program. He was in Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) in Florida under WWE.

Seth Rollins Reveals How He Finally Met Vince McMahon in WWE.

Along with his credibility as a wrestler, Seth Rollins’ off-screen personality is: intelligent, straightforward and approachable. He has a dry sense of humour and is never afraid to be honest about things.

In a recent interview with. Jay Mohr on his podcast Mohr Stories, The Architect revealed that he had never met Vince McMahon in his developmental days and only ever got to see him first hand when he debuted in the WWE in 2012.

I never met Vince before I was on the main roster, no. I met him briefly backstage when I did like…so you sign a developmental, you’re basically like stuck in a little warehouse down in Florida…and this time it was like a “claw” game. You didn’t really have any connection with the main roster like with any of the office there, it was like two separate worlds.

So it just felt like every once in a while you’d just hear rumours and this claw would come down from Connecticut and just “yoink” whoever up from developmental and then they’d just be gone and you’d never see them again.

But i never met him, he never came down to Florida so i never met him there.

Seth went on to recall his actual first meeting with the wrestling giant and says he probably said hi or shook his hand.

I would go up to do extra work I would be backstage and if they needed somebody to do a pre-show match or something, I would do that and I probably met him and said hi or shook his hand then but I never met him until the day we debuted which was Survivor Series in 2012. I didn’t meet him until then. Officially like sit in his office and introduce myself

He had probably other people hiring developmental talent I don’t even know if he had a hand in that. (5:37 onwards)

Rollins is currently out of WWE programming with a real-life injury to his left shoulder.
