AEW Star Praises Seth Rollins – “People Don’t Understand How Much Of An MVP He Is”

Seth Rollins has received some praise from AEW’s Malakai Black, who learned a lot from the “freakin” one when he was in WWE.

The WWE career of Seth Rollins (the man with “Freakin” as a nickname) has seen the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion have one of the greatest careers in the history of the company already and he’s still just in his prime right now.

Over the last decade in WWE, Rollins has gone back and forth from being a top heel to one of the most popular babyfaces in the company. The song he has currently helps a lot. In the ring, Rollins is a five-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion (counting three different titles) as well as holding every other title he could win and accomplishing other feats.

In addition to all of the accolades he has, Seth Rollins is highly regarded as one of the best pro wrestlers alive. He has the promo skills to go along with his incredible ability in the ring that sees him have the best match Omos has ever had just as much as the World Title classic with AJ Styles at Night of Champions. On top of all that, Raw feels like “Monday Night Rollins” because Seth is at the center of everything and it’s clearly built around him.

Malakai Black works for AEW now, but when he worked for WWE as Aleister Black, he got to wrestle a few times during the COVID-19 “Pandemic Era” of WWE. It’s too bad they never had a feud with fans there because Black was well-liked by the audience and Rollins was hated at that time, so it likely would have benefitted Black greatly.

While speaking on “The Undisputed Podcast” hosted by Bobby Fish, Malakai Black had some wonderful things to say about Seth Rollins.

“I think that a lot of people don’t understand how much of an MVP he has been. I learned a ton from working with Seth when we were in the pandemic era, and even before that right before we shut down and stuff.”

“The conversations I would have with him and the advice that he would give me and his perspective on the way he does his promos, the way he puts it in his head and how comes up with stuff … every week he would give me questions like, ‘I want you to answer these,’ and I’d have to sit down and think about it and I don’t think people realize how incredibly good this dude and how consistent of a wrestler he’s been for decades. He’s the man.”

As he continued, Malakai Black praised Seth Rollins for his consistency.

“When it comes to Seth, not only is his in-ring phenomenal, his mic skills are great, his mindset is great, his consistency … to be consistently in the spotlight, consistently on that upper tier.”
