Seth Rollins Will Reach Incredible Milestone At WrestleMania 40

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins will wrestle twice at WrestleMania 40 and one of those matches will be something he has never done before in WWE.

During his WWE career, Seth “Freakin” Rollins has done it all and won it all. The current World Heavyweight Champion Rollins is a five-time WWE World Champion (that includes the WWE Championship, Universal Title and World Title) who has also held the Intercontinental & US Titles twice each and he’s a six-time Tag Team Champion with five different partners.

In addition to winning all of those championships, Seth Rollins has headlined most of WWE’s major events while also winning the Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank and was part of one of WWE’s greatest stables ever – The Shield with Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose.

Something that Rollins hasn’t done in his career is headline WrestleMania. Yes, Rollins did compete in the main event of WrestleMania 31 in 2015 when he cashed in Money in the Bank and left as the WWE Champion. However, that was a match that was advertised as Brock Lesnar defending the WWE Title against Roman Reigns, so most people wouldn’t consider that as a Rollins main event match.

On the WWE SmackDown episode in Dallas, Seth Rollins & Cody Rhodes officially accepted the WrestleMania 40 tag team match challenge from The Rock & Roman Reigns. That match is expected to be the WrestleMania 40 Night 1 main event on April 6th, which means Rollins will officially be part of a WrestleMania main event for the first time in his career.

It’s a match that WWE, and specifically Triple H, calls the “biggest tag team match ever” at the biggest WrestleMania ever.

WrestleMania 40 will be a busy weekend for Rollins because on Sunday, April 7th he was going to defend the World Heavyweight Title against Elimination Chamber match winner Drew McIntyre. That match will likely not be the main event since the Roman Reigns match against Cody Rhodes is expected to go on last.

Seth Rollins Returning To The Ring Following Knee Injury

There was some good news recently shared by Seth Rollins, who announced on Raw that he is cleared to compete after dealing with a knee injury in early January. The good news was that it was a just knee sprain and Rollins rehabbed it enough to where he could be cleared to wrestle again.

As for when he’ll be back in the ring, Rollins is expected to wrestle at WWE live events starting March 9th. It’s not known if he’ll wrestle before WrestleMania 40 on television, but it’s certainly possible since he is cleared again.
