Seth Rollins Makes Huge Claim About WWE Raw Netflix Deal
Seth Rollins has an interesting perspective on what going to Netflix means for WWE.
The highly-anticipated WWE Monday Night Raw debut on Netflix is almost here. For the past year, there has been a lot of anticipation of Raw’s Netflix debut on January 6th in Los Angeles.
One of the big matches at the show will see Seth Rollins face CM Punk in a huge grudge match that Rollins has wanted since Punk returned to WWE in November 2023. It has been mentioned by WWE several times that it will be the main event of the show.
In addition to the Rollins-Punk match, Roman Reigns will be in action for a rare TV match against Solo Sikoa, Liv Morgan will defend the Women’s World Title against Rhea Ripley and Drew McIntyre will face Jey Uso.
John Cena is also advertised for the show while there are rumors that WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson may be there as well although he has not been advertised by the company.
Seth Rollins: “This Is The Biggest Step Forward In The History Of Our Industry”
During an appearance on the NFL Network’s Good Morning Football show, Seth Rollins spoke about how big Raw’s move to Netflix is.
“It’s huge. You mentioned Liv [Morgan] and Rhea [Ripley], they’re gonna do it for the women’s title there, you’ve got John Cena. Lots of surprises. Tribal Combat, Roman Reigns versus Solo Sikoa. It’s going to be huge. This is without a doubt the biggest step forward in the history of our industry. That’s not an understatement.
We’re off cable for the first time in 30 years, going to streaming, the biggest streaming network on the planet. It’s gonna be incredible. I’m really excited about this. This is the future of our industry. This is as big as it gets.”
For the past five years, Rollins has arguably been the biggest star on the Raw brand as a heel and also one of the top babyfaces who held the brand-new World Heavyweight Title for nearly a full year.
Becky Lynch, who is married to Rollins, is expected to return to WWE very soon while being featured in a huge WrestleMania match.
