Seth Rollins’ Group Attacks Multiple Wrestlers On WWE SmackDown

Seth Rollins WWE Smackdown promo

Seth Rollins and his friends wreaked havoc on WWE Friday Night SmackDown, just one night before Money in the Bank.

The final episode of WWE SmackDown before Money in the Bank took place in Bakersfield, California, and it was a night that featured a lot of wrestlers from Raw. That’s because it was WWE’s way of promoting the Money in the Bank PLE by featuring the Raw talent as well.

Raw’s most dominant group post-WrestleMania has been the unnamed faction led by Seth Rollins, who was joined in the SmackDown ring by Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed and the “Wise Man” Paul Heyman. Rollins warned others in WWE, saying that whoever gets in their way will suffer the same fate as CM Punk, Sami Zayn, and Roman Reigns, all of whom have been attacked by the Rollins-led group.

Solo Sikoa confronted the Rollins group with Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo by his side. A war of words took place as Solo didn’t seem threatened while Rollins put over Jacob for being a threat, unlike Solo. Rollins even wondered if Jacob wanted to be known as “Solo’s b**ch” instead of the Samoan Werewolf. Shockingly, there was no fight between the groups.

Later in the show, LA Knight brought up Rollins during a pre-match promo and didn’t seem to be worried about him. During Knight’s match with Aleister Black, Seth Rollins showed up out of nowhere and delivered The Stomp on Knight for the DQ finish. When Black got in the ring, he was met with a Spear by Breakker. Rollins targeted Knight since he’s in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match like Rollins.

Seth Rollins And Friends Destroyed Two More Money In The Bank Opponents

Penta and Andrade are also in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. They picked up a win over American Made’s The Creed Brothers in tag team action. Penta and Andrade celebrated after the match since they are friends, but that celebration didn’t last long.

The trio of Rollins, Breakker and Reed dominated Penta and Andrade while Heyman watched from ringside. Bron hit a Spear on Andrade. Reed hit a senton splash on Penta. Rollins hit The Stomp on Andrade, but it didn’t look great. Rollins hit The Stomp on Penta, and that one looked better. Rollins threw Andrade out of the ring. Reed went up top, and he hit a Tsunami on Penta as Barrett got excited because he got to yell it.

Paul Heyman did a promo saying that they don’t fear the future because they are the future. Heyman said that Seth Rollins told us what would happen at WrestleMania, and it happened. Heyman said what Rollins tells you is true.

As the fans booed, Heyman said you can sit there and boo all you want, but he said Seth Rollins will become, once again, Mr. Money in the Bank. Heyman said when Rollins feels like it, he’ll cash in and solidify the power that comes with the title.

Cody Rhodes made his entrance and had a brief staredown with Rollins in the ring. Rollins said something to him without the microphone nearby, so it may have been a warning as if to tell Cody he is safe for now, but Rollins and friends could be coming for him in the future.

The three wrestlers that Rollins and friends destroyed on SmackDown were Money in the Bank opponents: LA Knight, Andrade, and Penta. All three men are babyfaces. The other two MITB opponents are Solo Sikoa, who was left untouched, and El Grande Americano, who wasn’t on SmackDown even though Chad Gable was.
