Ex-WWE Star Makes Shocking Claim About Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins has the World Heavyweight Title on the WWE Raw brand, but he still needs to improve as a performer in some key areas.
The main event of WWE SummerSlam Saturday saw CM Punk beat Gunther to win the World Heavyweight Championship at MetLife Stadium.
It was a short celebration for Punk because Seth Rollins appeared with crutches and a knee brace, along with Paul Heyman holding his Money in the Bank briefcase. Just when it looked like Rollins was leaving, he dropped his crutches, took off the knee brace, and ran to the ring to show he wasn’t hurt at all.
Rollins beat up Punk with the Money in the Bank briefcase, cashed in the briefcase, and hit The Stomp on Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship and become a six-time WWE World Champion.
Seth Rollins Needs To Be More Aggressive In The WWE Ring
While Rollins is a top star in WWE, he also has his critics. Former WWE announcer and on-air talent Jonathan Coachman spoke about Rollins on the Gabby AF podcast with Gabby Laspisa. In Coach’s opinion, the singer Jelly Roll is better than Rollins at throwing punches.
“I think Seth Rollins is in phenomenal shape and he’s going to create this big d**k energy thing with that faction. But he’s gotta start laying some s**t in. Like hitting CM Punk with the briefcase, he barely touched him.
I’m telling you this is what happens backstage. The OG’s anyway. If you walk up and go, ‘Hey man, I’m going to have to lay this in with the briefcase. I’m gonna half to apologize ahead of time, we gotta make this s**t look good.’ That used to happen all the time.
But he literally went to hit him (Punk), Gabi, and barely touched him. Barely touched him. And right now, Seth’s been doing that with his punches. I mean, Jelly Roll’s punches are ten times better than Seth Rollins right now.”
There have certainly been other people who have criticized Seth Rollins in the WWE ring as well. While the goal of a pro wrestler is not to hurt your opponent, it is okay to be more aggressive at times as well.
