Seth Rollins “Disrespectful” Injury Claims Not True, Status For WWE Raw

There are conflicting reports about Seth Rollins regarding a potential knee injury.

During a hectic weekend of WWE action, Seth Rollins faced LA Knight at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta. After about ten minutes of action, Rollins did a senton splash onto Knight, followed by Rollins jumping off the middle ropes and landing on his feet while landing a moonsault, since Knight moved out of the way.

After landing on his feet, Rollins immediately went down and grabbed his right leg. Rollins was down on the mat for about a minute, holding his right knee. He was checked on by the referee and the ringside doctor. After that brief discussion, Rollins got up, Knight kicked him in the ribs and Knight hit the BFT for the big win. Rollins was helped to the back after the match.

It was reported that Rollins was backstage at WWE Evolution one night later, supporting his wife, Becky Lynch. At the show, Rollins was on crutches and had a knee brace.

Following the Evolution PLE, WWE’s CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque said that Seth Rollins’ knee injury “doesn’t look good.” Most people believed it was a legit injury, especially after those comments.

However, it was mentioned by Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer that the Rollins injury could be a work, or at least a cover-up for another injury, which could then lead to Mr. Money in the Bank Rollins cashing in at a time when people don’t expect it. Alvarez explained the situation.

“I asked around a lot today as well and everyone is insisiting that he is hurt. We were told he was hurt and everyone is saying yes, he is hurt. There’s also the John Pollock story – well there is a third option which somebody today told me is what happened.

They say the reason these stories are conflicting is because he is hurt but what happened on Saturday was a storyline. Meaning he is hurt but he did not get hurt on that spot, that spot was a cover for an injury that he has which he will have worked on and so the idea that was suggested is he will be out of action for a little while but they are gonna say like nine months or whatever, but he will be back much sooner than that.”

Dave Meltzer added this tidbit to the story.

“One of the things I was told was basically, the [Money In The Bank] cash-in will come out of nowhere.”

Seth Rollins Injury “Is Not A Work”

Whenever pro wrestlers get hurt, there are always fans who question whether it’s real or not, because that’s the nature of pro wrestling. Making the fans believe things is part of the business, after all.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider seemingly reacted to the Wrestling Observer guys by writing that it is not a work or storyline, “and anyone claiming such is being completely disrespectful to Rollins at this point.” Johnson insisted that this is not a work.

Seth Rollins is expected to be at Raw tonight and will likely address his injury status.
