Seth Rollins Confirmed For NXT Gold Rush

Seth Rollins might have Finn Balor to worry about at Money In The Bank but if he wants to get there, he’s going to have to get through a huge challenge at NXT Gold Rush.

Seth Rollins captured the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Night Of Champions when he defeated AJ Styles in a tournament final for the vacant title. For champions, however, trouble is never far away, and on NXT television Bron Breakker issued a stunning challenge to Rollins to meet him for the title on the white and gold brand.

On the 13th of June edition of NXT television Bron Breakker wanted an answer to his challenge but rather than being met by Seth Rollins, the former NXT Champion was confronted by Ilja Dragunov. As Dragunov was hauled away by security, Rollins appeared on the big screen to respond to Breakker.

Seth Rollins noted that he liked the idea of returning to where it all began for him in WWE and accepted the challenge with the two men now due to face off at NXT Gold Rush on the 20th of June.

Shawn Michaels announced that the next two weeks of NXT TV will be Gold Rush themed and on the 27th of June Carmelo Hayes will defend his NXT Championship against Baron Corbin. Corbin defeated Dragunov on Tuesday’s show to earn the title shot.
