Seth Rollins And Cody Rhodes Produced WWE Event

Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins made sure WWE fans got their money’s worth.

During his time away from WWE, Cody Rhodes played a key role in the launch of AEW and served as an executive while with the company. In addition, his father, the late, great Dusty Rhodes, held creative positions in WCW and WWE before becoming a guiding force behind NXT.

So perhaps it’s no surprise that in a moment of crisis, Cody stepped up to keep the WWE show on the road.

Cody Rhodes And Seth Rollins Saved The Day

On the latest episode of his What Do You Want To Talk About podcast, Cody Rhodes sat down with Damian Priest to discuss all things WWE beyond. This included one memorable occasion where Rhodes organised a private jet to fly talent to a show after commercial flights were grounded thanks to a snowstorm.

Not only did Rhodes get everyone to the event, but he and Seth Rollins also produced the entire show.

“We had a situation where we needed to get to Omaha or get out of Omaha, and I thought I would be a big baller and save the day. There were no commercial flights going. I got the crew a jet and we were heading to El Paso.

That was the trouble. We needed to get to El Paso from Nebraska in the middle of a snowstorm, and the only way we could do it was flying private. Ultimately, WWE stepped in and covered it for me…

We had a show to do. No producers. Me and Seth, we were producers and it was a show that had a commission, so we actually had to do work. It wasn’t, ‘Hey, you’re good, we know your match. Hey, 12 minutes.’ None of that.”

Priest again praised Rhodes for taking care of everyone, while the American Nightmare was quick to highlight Rollins’ role in bringing order to the chaos.

“The best is I didn’t put the producers on the flight. I put the boys on the flight. We have to do the show. Love (the producers), but we had to do the show. Seth is doing it and doing an incredible job. Obviously, that’s in his future. I’m sure the world can figure that out.”

Interestingly, back in February, Seth Rollins revealed that he’s already held conversations about taking up a position backstage when he decides to hang up his boots. The star said that while he’s got no desire to step away from the ring anytime soon, he’s determined to stay involved with WWE and the wrestling industry when he does.
