Seth Rollins Behind Massive WWE Creative Change

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins is responsible for a massive creative change in the modern-day WWE.

Even before joining the Stamford promotion, Rollins had left a mark on the independent circuit through his athleticism.

Be it the Independent Wrestling Association, National Wrestling Alliance, or Ring of Honor, he left a lasting impression wherever he went.

Seth Rollins had the same goal when he signed with WWE in 2010 and competed in FCW.

During a recent appearance on Something’s Burning, the 39-year-old wrestler revealed seeing irregularities, which he often proposed to change. However, he faced resistance from other wrestlers, forcing him to go behind their backs.

So there were certainly people when we got up to the main roster, I wanted to change a lot about the style of the way that the matches looked and the way we did things. And there was a lot of guys who were very resistant to that energy out of the gate. So it took some kicking down some doors or sneaking around back to get that done.

But, you look at what the shows look like now compared to what they did before we got on the main roster, myself, particularly. I mean, it’s night and day compared to like the athleticism, the fact that smaller guys can get more opportunities and they’re taken seriously as big stars in the business.

Seth Rollins Eyeing WrestleMania Return

Seth Rollins has been on the shelf, owing to a shoulder injury he suffered at Crown Jewel last month.

He was subsequently forced to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship.

While there has been no official timeline for his WWE return, he is anticipating a full recovery before WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Once I get [the sling] off, which is in like another month, then it might be full vacation mode for a little while, before I lock in and have to start training to get ready to come back.

It’ll probably be gradual. I don’t even really know. My guess is eight to 12 weeks of, ‘Okay, now I have to stop eating like an a**hole.’ Probably 12 weeks. Plus, we’ll be moving right into WrestleMania season. I’m hoping around February, after all the holiday stuff, I can start to be like, ‘Lock in. No more BS.’
