Eight WWE Superstars were announced for the tournament representing their different nations – Braun Strowman, Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn, Santos Escobar, Mustafa Ali, Jinder Mahal, Butch, and Ricochet. Original reports had Rey Mysterio listed in the competition instead of Ali and but Mysterio was pulled from the competition due to an injury.

In Hartford, Ricochet defeated Mustafa Ali to progress and Butch of The Brawling Brutes defeated ‘Honorary Uce’ Sami Zayn to also make it to the semi-finals. Ricochet will now face Braun Strowman on the 25th of November edition of SmackDown in an all-US clash while England’s Butch will take on Santos Escobar representing his native Mexico.

On SmackDown, the men’s WarGames clash for Survivor Series was also set with The Brawling Brutes teaming with Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens taking on the full might of The Bloodline.
