Semi-Finals For AEW Tag Team Title Tournament Set

A new title is coming to AEW, and now the semi-finals to crown the inaugural champions have been confirmed.

AEW is introducing a Women’s Tag Team Championship with eight teams getting the chance to become the inaugural title holders. TBS Champion Mercedes Mone looked to add more gold to her collection when she entered the tournament with ROH Women’s World Champion Athena.

Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa looked for solace and success with each other after losing their respective singles titles. One team was forced to draft in a dangerous replacement after one AEW star went down with an injured arm.

Now, on the November 19th edition of Dynamite and Collision, the last quarter-finals of that tournament took place, with the semi-finals now set.

Toni Storm One Step Closer To AEW Gold

The Timeless Love Bombs of Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa moved on to the final four with a victory over Alex Windsor and Riho. Tay Melo and Anna Jay fell to defeat at the hands of the impressive Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir.

Bayne and Shafir will now clash with the Timeless Love Bombs in one semi-final, while the Babes of Wrath – Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron – will face Julia Hart and Skye Blue. The four teams will clash in a four-way match at Full Gear with the winners getting the chance to pick the stipulation for their semi-final.
