Scrapped WWE WrestleMania Matches Leaked

WrestleMania 41 is in the books and now it seems that many of WWE’s original plans for the event have been revealed with several major changes made.

WrestleMania 41 ended with John Cena capturing his 17th world title as he defeated Cody Rhodes with a little help from Travis Scott. Gunther lost his World Heavyweight Championship as Jey Uso became the latest Royal Rumble winner to translate that victory into a WrestleMania win.

It was a better weekend for WWE’s women’s world champions as IYO SKY overcame the challenge of Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair while Tiffany Stratton withstood a chipped tooth to defeat Charlotte Flair and hang onto her WWE Women’s Title.

CM Punk and Roman Reigns were screwed by Paul Heyman as Seth Rollins stood tall and Becky Lynch made her shock return to WWE at WrestleMania 41. But all of this could have been so very different.

What Were WWE’s Other Plans For WrestleMania 41?

WWE is pulling back the curtain in a new show titled “WWE Unreal” as fans get to see what goes on behind the scenes in the company’s writers’ room. During Raw, a trailer aired for the series where a whiteboard could clearly be seen listing some matches that were either pitched or planned to take place at WrestleMania 41.

These matches were –

World Heavyweight Championship – CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins vs. GUNTHER

Women’s World Championship – Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair

WWE Women’s Championship – Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax

Wyatt Sicks vs. Judgment Day

Women’s Tag – Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch vs. IYO SKY & Asuka

Bad Bunny vs. Dominik Mysterio

Bron Breakker vs. Drew McIntyre

Travis Scott was also at one point pitched to accompany Rey Mysterio to the ring for his match with Chad Gable, who was referred to by that name rather than El Grande Americano. Rey Mysterio was pulled from the event after a last-minute injury and replaced by Rey Fenix.
