Scott Hall Talks NXT, Divas Revolution & More

WWE Hall of Famer and nWo alumni Scott Hall seems to have turned a corner according to WrestlingInc.com. In an interview released today, he speaks about the NXT as a whole, some of it’s competitors and the Divas revolution. He also comments that he’s big fan of the brand and will be going there soon to help out and teach the up and coming stars a few things.

“I’m a huge fan of NXT and I’ve been invited back to help smarten up the the young guys. It’s something I enjoy doing, and to me NXT is the hottest thing out there”, explained Hall.

Hall was asked what talent on the NXT roster he particularly enjoyed watching and he replied with two international talents that are closely linked.

“I’m a big fan of Finn Balor”, said Hall. “I think he’s going to be a big star, and I really think Becky Lynch is a star in the making”.

With WWE now using their female performers in a different way from the past, Hall agrees that the Divas revolution is a good idea. He sees it as a perfect time for WWE to bolster their own brand.

“I think it’s a great idea. With three hours of TV a week, it’s like a free pay-per-view and their burning up the talent. Getting the women involved stretches the broadcast out if nothing else. I think the fan’s minds have changed a bit about women’s wrestling”, said Hall.

Ski’s Take – It seems that Scott’s recent troubles are behind him if it’s true that WWE are going to send him to Orlando to help out in NXT. That’s great news. Personally I’m a big fan of the guy’s in ring work (outside of the ring is a different story), and hopefully some of that and his promo skills will rub off on some of the talent down at NXT.

Also coming out and endorsing Finn Balor is a huge statement. Again I’m a massive fan of Finn’s after seeing him wrestle here in England live and watching his NJPW career flourish. It will mean a lot to the casual fan that a legend like Hall is personally saying he’ll be a star, and he’s not the first to come out and say so.

I’m hoping that he can help fill the massive void that was left when Dusty Rhodes passed away, and help with the promo’s. I’m sure he could help Tye Dillinger and Baron Corbin, for example, immensely.
