Saudi Arabia In Talks With WWE About Hosting Major Event

Triple H WWE bucket of cash

A key Saudi figure has claimed they’re in talks with WWE.

One of WWE’s biggest events could be heading to Saudi Arabia, despite Nick Khan claiming the sports entertainment giant will keep its “big five” events in North America.

Following claims that the kingdom is looking to expand its relationship with WWE, Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, has told Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour that he’s talking with WWE about hosting the Royal Rumble in 2026 or 2027.

The company agreed a ten-year deal with Saudi Arabia in 2018, which confirmed two Premium Live Events would be held in the kingdom every year. In 2024 the first of these events King & Queen of The Ring is due to take place on May 25th.

Why Did WWE Move WrestleMania 41 To Las Vegas?

After months of speculation, WWE finally announced that WrestleMania 41 will be held in Las Vegas on April 19th and 20th 2025. The company has traditionally avoided hosting events across Easter weekend, but reportedly changed this policy at the behest of officials in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, there’s been speculation WrestleMania could land in the United Kingdom in the coming years. Prior to a recent round of elections, the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said he was interested in bringing the event to the English capital, while Triple H has repeatedly said he’d like to discuss the situation.

The company will return to the UK in June, holding Clash At The Castle in Glasgow, Scotland.
