Saudi Arabia Set To Host 3 WWE PLEs In 2026
WWE and Saudi Arabia’s ties are only getting stronger.
WWE recently held Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as John Cena successfully defended his WWE Championship against CM Punk. That is far from the whole story, however, as Punk and Cena’s bout was mired in controversy as Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, Sami Zayn, and Penta all got involved.
That show also saw a new champion crowned as Solo Sikoa defeated Jacob Fatu for the WWE US Title with more than a little help from the returning Tonga Loa, and the debuting Tala Tonga – best known as NJPW star Hikuleo.
Night of Champions will be WWE’s only stop in Saudi Arabia in 2025, but there is a very good reason for that, it seems, as the company will be a more regular visitor in 2026.
Saudi Arabia Hosting WWE Survivor Series?
Fightful Select has reported that WWE will host three PLEs in Saudi Arabia in 2026, beginning with the Royal Rumble in January. Other shows to take place will happen in May and November. The November date has raised eyebrows as that is traditionally when the company holds Survivor Series, and in the past few years, it has been held on Thanksgiving weekend.
A WWE source noted that either the November Saudi show would not be Survivor Series, or if it was, the date would be changed as they don’t envision the company sending talent overseas on a holiday weekend.
