Sasha Banks Reportedly Still With WWE

Having remained absent from the company since May 16, Sasha Banks is believed to still be under contract with the sports entertainment giant.

The contractual status of Sasha Banks and Naomi has made for interesting reading ever since they walked out of WWE on May 16. Numerous reports have been issued since, largely stating that the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions remain obligated to the sports entertainment giant.

Sasha Banks, in particular, has caused rife speculation. Not only is this her second time under this sort of spotlight, but she was also outright reported to have been let go from WWE by Wrestling Inc.’s Raj Giri. Per Dave Meltzer, though, she is officially still under contract with the McMahon-fronted company.

Writing in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer noted that ‘The Legit Boss’ is currently in negotiations for a new deal, with no timetable for her return to WWE programming. There was no mention of the contractual status of Naomi.

Dave added that Sasha had been in Spain recently, as she and Samuray del Sol – the former Kalisto – had won the Best Industry Newcomer award at the World CBD Awards for their business Premier Kanndela Labs. She was also spotted training with the RCW promotion, which is where NXT’s Axiom first made a name for himself.

Sasha Banks and Naomi have made a number of appearances outside of WWE since walking out, including most recently at the premiere for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. They were joined by Jimmy Uso, Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods.
