Saraya’s Next AEW Bout Confirmed

Saraya returned to the ring at AEW Full Gear where she defeated Dr. Britt Baker DMD and now the star’s next match in the company has been confirmed.

Saraya made her surprise debut in AEW at Dynamite Grand Slam in September where she confronted Britt Baker but her in-ring status at the time was still unknown. The star – formerly known as Paige in WWE – hadn’t competed in the ring since suffering a severe neck injury during a live event match in late 2017.

That all changed when she revealed that she had been cleared to wrestle by doctors and would take on Baker at the Full Gear pay-per-view in November 2022. Saraya won that bout but the bad blood between the two women rumbled on as Dynamite took place in Cedar Park, Texas.

Baker confronted Saraya backstage, first offering her tickets to the 11th of January edition of Dynamite to be held in the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, CA before then challenging the English star to find a tag team partner to face Baker and AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter on that show.

AEW made its Los Angeles debut with an episode of Dynamite on the 1st of June 2022. Baker and Hayter also teamed up on that show but fell to defeat at the hands of Toni Storm and Ruby Soho.
