Saraya Makes Surprising AEW Admission
Could Saraya really return to AEW?
On March 26, Saraya announced her departure from AEW, six months before her contract officially expired in September.
From the moment the news broke, she’s been linked with a return to WWE, where she spent 11 years between 2011 and 2022. However, the British star has admitted she won’t wrestle again in 2025, and she’s yet to make that expected WWE comeback.
But it seems that in the future, a return to AEW isn’t out of the question either.
Saraya On Good Terms With AEW
During a new interview with Women’s Wrestling Talk, Saraya said Tony Khan was very understanding about her decision to leave, while noting that the door is left open for a return in the future.
“I was, alright, time for me to bow out. Tony was amazing with it. It ended up being mutual, which is great. He was extremely supportive about my future endeavors and he encouraged me and the door was left open, which is great…
It was just a lot of brainstorming on my time off where I was, okay, now it’s time for me to bow out gracefully.”
In an earlier interview, Saraya claimed she hasn’t spoken to WWE despite many expecting her to eventually sign with the company. However, she reiterated that she wants to train with Natalya to prepare for an eventual in-ring comeback.
