Saraya Hits Back At Claims She’s “Begging” For A Job With WWE
Saraya is just answering the question.
After stepping into the ring on the October 8, 2024, edition of AEW Dynamite, Saraya disappeared from television without much of an explanation. However, after confirming she was working on several non-wrestling projects, the former Women’s World Champion announced her exit from the promotion.
In March, Saraya announced that she’d reached an agreement with Tony Khan to leave the company, despite her contract having six months to run.
Unsurprisingly, the British star was immediately linked with a return to WWE, but the switch is yet to materialise.
Saraya Responds To WWE Speculation
In a new interview with the Toronto Sun, Saraya took the opportunity to respond to some of the speculation around her future. This included claims from some that she’s “begging” for a job with WWE.
“I will say, anytime I’m in an interview, I get asked that. Everyone who comes to my table asks that. But Twitter can be so harsh—if I talk about it, they’re like, ‘You’re begging for a job.’ I’m like, ‘No, people ask me.’ I’m just answering the question.”
She added that despite what some might think, there is interest in her returning to WWE, but she stopped short of confirming that’s what she’s working towards.
“I’m not randomly going, ‘Bring me back.’ I’m just getting a lot of love and a good reception. People really want me to come back, and I think that’s incredible. Maybe one day. I don’t know, though.”
Saraya To Make Wrestling Return
During the same interview, Saraya revealed that she’ll take the first steps to resume her wrestling career in January 2026. After several months out of the ring, the star has pledged to begin training once again, confirming that Natalya has repeatedly asked her to visit The Dungeon.
She also admitted that she had lost her passion for wrestling during her hiatus and had fallen out of love with the industry. However, in more recent weeks, her motivation to mount a comeback has begun to return.
Although she didn’t officially confirm a comeback, Saraya did concede that the chances of a return are now much higher than earlier in the year.
