Samoa Joe Shocks On AEW Return

Samoa Joe

AEW Dynamite Maximum Carnage lived up to its name as Samoa Joe made his shock return to the company.

For months, HOOK has been embroiled in a feud with Christian Cage and The Patriarchy. On Dynamite Maximum Carnage, HOOK finally got his hands on Cage in a one-on-one match but Kip Sabian and Nick Wayne are never too far away.

HOOK looked to have the match won when he locked in Red Rum but Cage gave the signal and The Patriarchy attacked, causing a disqualification but saving Cage from being choked out. Katsuyori Shibata attempted to even things up but The Patriarchy overwhelmed both men.

Thankfully for HOOK and Shibata, help was on hand in the form of a former AEW World Champion.

Samoa Joe On The Hunt In AEW

Samoa Joe stormed to the ring and brutally assaulted both Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian while a stunned Christian Cage made his escape alongside Mother Wayne.

The former AEW World Champion was last seen in AEW back in July 2024 when he lost a Stampede Street Fight to Chris Jericho. Samoa Joe was then taken out in a backstage segment that saw him driven through a wall to write him off TV.

In his absence, Samoa Joe has been filming the latest season of Peacock’s Twisted Metal, where he plays the role of Sweet Tooth.
