Samoa Joe Defending AEW World Title On Huge Dynamite Episode
Tony Khan has announced that Samoa Joe will defend the AEW World Title on a special episode of Dynamite.
In the main event of AEW Full Gear, Samoa Joe became a 2-time AEW World Champion when he defeated “Hangman” Adam Page to put an end to Hangman’s title reign after four months.
It was a Steel Cage Match that saw Joe get the win after Hook showed up looking like he would help Hangman, only to turn on him and help Joe win the AEW World Title. That put an end to Hangman’s title reign after four months.
During a promo on AEW Dynamite after Full Gear, Samoa Joe called it an elaborate plan involving Hook, who has been an ally and rival of Joe. In the end, Hook showed his loyalty towards Joe by helping him become the AEW World Champion for the second time.
On the Thanksgiving edition of AEW Collision, Eddie Kingston defeated Samoa Joe’s ally in The Opps, Katsuyori Shibata. After the match, Kingston did a heartfelt promo about how he wasn’t sure if he deserved the adulation of the fans, but he knows what kind of man he is. Kingston went on to challenge Joe for the AEW World Title.
Samoa Joe Will Defend AEW World Title Against Eddie Kingston
Following Eddie Kingston’s challenge on Collision, AEW Owner and matchmaker Tony Khan booked Samoa Joe in an AEW World Title match against Kingston on the December 10th edition of Dynamite called Winter Is Coming. AEW has done “Winter is Coming” episodes of Dynamite every year, and they are usually a more important episode of Dynamite.
