Sammy Guevara Dreams Of Being Thrown Off Daily’s Place

Sammy Guevara

Whilst some wrestlers are known for making crazy dives, Sammy Guevara wants to take things one step further.

Many fans are still talking about Sammy Guevara’s involvement in the Face Of The Revolution Ladder Match on the 1st March 2023 edition of AEW Dynamite, where ‘The Spanish God’ once again risked his body with a mammoth dive from the top of a ladder.

However, it would seem that this sort of height is nothing of concern to Guevara and would hope to be thrown off the roof of AEW’s home venue of Daily’s Place one day – something which had originally been set to happen in 2020.

At All Out 2020, Sammy Guevara did battle with Matt Hardy in a Broken Rules match. After a speak off a forklift through a table where Hardy clearly hit his head on the concrete, the match was initially stopped before Hardy insisted it kept going, and eventually picked up the victory.

According to Sammy Guevara in an interview with MuscleManMalcolm for The Sportster, the original plan for the match would have seen him thrown off the roof of the building for the finish. Guevara commented on both matches, and how different circumstances led to changes in what he was able to do in the contest.

Really, the ladder match, people thought it was crazy. I wanted it to be a lot crazier, but due to time constraints and whatnot, we had to cut a lot of stuff. There’s one thing in the infamous Sammy Guevara vs. Matt Hardy match at All Out [2020], I was actually going to get thrown off the top of Daily’s Place that’s how the match was going to end. Unfortunately, because of the accident that happened early in the match, we had to go straight to a different finish. I want to go back to Daily’s Place just to get thrown off of it one day. One day, you know, a guy can dream.

The Face Of The Revolution Ladder Match was won by Powerhouse Hobbs, who gets his shot at new TNT Champion Wardlow on the 8th March 2023 edition of Dynamite.
