Sami Zayn Claims He Has Taken Solo Sikoa “Under His Wing”
Sami Zayn is a veteran on the WWE roster so the “Honorary Uce” has taken it upon himself to serve as a bit of a mentor to Solo Sikoa.
On the September 23rd episode of Smackdown, the “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns officially welcomed Solo Sikoa after Solo acknowledged his older cousin. Solo joined is part of The Bloodline group led by Reigns and Solo’s older twin brothers, the WWE Tag Team Champions, The Usos. That group is joined by the Special Counsel Paul Heyman.
Sami Zayn is also part of The Bloodline group even though he’s not a blood relative of Reigns. Due to the loyalty that Zayn has shown towards The Bloodline, he was honored with a special t-shirt calling him the “Honorary Uce.” Everybody was happy for Zayn except Jey Uso, who continues to butt heads with Sami at all times. The term “uce” means brother in the Samoan culture.
During an interview on the WWE Smackdown LowDown, Zayn talked about how close he has become with the former NXT North American, Solo Sikoa:
“I love Solo because I’ve kind of taken him under my wing. And I feel like he senses that it’s coming from a place, a genuine place, I genuinely have his best interests at heart. And what happens when you actually care about someone? Lo and behold, they care about you.”
“He actually senses I care about him. He’s got my back, I got his back. So yeah, next week he and I will take on Madcap Moss and Ricochet, and guess what’s gonna happen? Bloodline stands tall again.”
Zayn and Sikoa will team up on the September 30th edition of Smackdown when they team up against Madcap Moss & Ricochet. Sikoa attacked them both when they were making fun of Zayn, which shows that Solo is loyal to Zayn just as Sami claims.
