Sami Zayn Named As Possible WrestleMania Opponent For WWE Star

A WWE superstar believes that his rivalry with Sami Zayn could lead to a WrestleMania match.

After Sami Zayn lost to CM Punk on the February 3rd episode of Raw, Kevin Owens attacked his former best friend Zayn with a Package Piledriver from behind. Since then, Zayn hasn’t been able to wrestle, and the story has been that he is dealing with injuries.

Sami Zayn had an emotional promo on WWE Raw when he essentially begged Adam Pearce to give him a match at Elimination Chamber with Kevin Owens. Pearce granted Zayn the match, but it’s going to be an Unsanctioned Match meaning they will be able to brawl around the arena and WWE can’t be blamed if Zayn is injured.

Karrion Kross is another WWE superstar who has had issues with Zayn since he confronted Zayn numerous times in backstage segments. Kross is a manipulator who tries to get in the head of other WWE superstars and has been trying to tell Zayn to change how he acts.

During an appearance on Jesse Ventura’s The Body Shop podcast, Kross spoke about how he could be against Zayn at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.

“I have a feeling it’s gonna be Sami Zayn (that I’m wrestling next) and I don’t know when but I feel like that’s coming. We’re getting to a boiling point.

I mean, that would be wonderful (if it’s at WrestleMania). He would be an excellent opponent at WrestleMania.”

Since Kevin Owens took out Randy Orton with a Package Piledriver last November, that could be a WrestleMania 41 match, so Zayn would likely need a different opponent other than Owens. That could be where Kross gets figured into the storyline.

Kevin Owens Visits Sami Zayn’s Home On WWE SmackDown

During a segment on WWE SmackDown in New Orleans, a video was shown of Kevin Owens talking on a phone. Owens said that Zayn wants to end his career, which would hurt KO’s family.

As he continued talking, Owens turned the camera to reveal that he was outside the window at Sami’s house where we saw Zayn with his wife and his young son.

Owens wondered if Zayn’s family knew what Zayn was about to put them through when Owens ends Zayn’s career in Toronto. Owens talked about the nice house and shelter that will be gone because of Zayn. Owens called Zayn selfish because he was going to make Owens do this to Zayn’s family. Owens said he’ll never forgive him for that. Owens told Zayn he’ll see him in Toronto, but Zayn needs to remember he asked for this and that is all Zayn’s fault.
