Sami Zayn lost the biggest match of his career in his hometown of Montreal at Elimination Chamber but WWE Hall of Famer Booker T doesn’t think that will diminish Zayn’s status.

At Elimination Chamber Sami Zayn had the whole world behind him as he went one on one with Roman Reigns with the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and a place in the main event of WrestleMania on the line. In the end, though, the match ended as so many of Reigns’ have over the last 900-plus days, with The Tribal Chief getting his hand raised.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T commented on where the loss now leaves Sami Zayn in the minds of fans and says that despite having to deal with the loss, Zayn is now a made man in the company:

“That’s what people are going to be saying to Sami Zayn. ‘Man, I really wish you would’ve won that match.’ It’s something that he’s going to have to deal with for the rest of his career, but Sami Zayn became a star over these last few months.

“He’s definitely put himself in a place to where he’s a made man now, he really is. Sami Zayn is a made man; that dude is money anywhere in the world.”

According to one report, WWE is apparently very concerned by the impact Zayn has made as they look to protect their planned WrestleMania 39 main event.
