Sami Zayn Indefinitely Out Of WWE
Sami Zayn has suffered serious injuries and is now out of action indefinitely leaving his WrestleMania plans in serious doubt.
Kevin Owens turned on Cody Rhodes after Rhodes teamed with Roman Reigns back at Bad Blood. Owens was furious given his own issues with Reigns and The Bloodline over the years and couldn’t live with his friend putting those issues to the side to stand side-by-side with The Tribal Chief.
However, Sami Zayn did the same as Orton but Owens proved to be more forgiving to his oldest friend in the wrestling business. Owens encouraged Zayn to help him out in his Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at the Royal Rumble. If Kevin Owens was champion and Zayn won the Royal Rumble then the two men could main event WrestleMania together one more time.
But that’s not going to happen. Owens lost to Rhodes and Zayn could only watch as Owens suffered a brutal Alabama Slam through a ladder before Rhodes retrieved his title. And perhaps that is why Owens snapped once again.
Sami Zayn Suffers Serious Injuries
On the February 3 edition of Raw, Sami Zayn had the chance to qualify for the Elimination Chamber when he faced CM Punk. Punk picked up the win but worse was to come for Sami Zayn. Kevin Owens viciously assaulted Zayn from behind before dropping him with a sickening package piledriver. The same move that recently put Randy Orton on the shelf.
On the February 7 edition of SmackDown, Joe Tessitore announced that Sami Zayn is out of action indefinitely following the attack. It was noted that Zayn is apparently suffering from spinal compression and extreme nerve damage. It remains to be seen when Zayn will be able to return.
