Sami Zayn Still Doesn’t Know If He’s Main Eventing WrestleMania
Whilst he now knows he’ll be wrestling on night one, Sami Zayn still isn’t sure if he’s in the main event of WrestleMania or not.
The cards have now been released for WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood, and it’s confirmed that Sami Zayn’s match alongside Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against The Usos will take place on the Saturday, on a card which also includes John Cena vs. Austin Theory and Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley.
Whilst it has been announced that the United States Championship match between Cena and Theory will open the festivities, there has been plenty of conjecture as to which of the other two matches is going on in the final spot.
Now, Sami Zayn has revealed to Ariel Helwani of BT Sport that he still isn’t aware if he’s in the main event or not.
That remains to be seen. I should (know), that’s for sure, but I don’t…..we’ll see.
Sami Zayn went on to discuss how special it would be if the tag title match is the main event, as it’d be the first time that had happened since the inaugural WrestleMania.
It is insane. If we do go on last, which remains to be seen. It would be the first time since WrestleMania 1 and it would be the first tag team title match of all time (to headline). That’s something.
Kevin Owens has been quick to big up the achievements of all the other competitors in the match, saying that nobody has done as much as them in the last year.
