Sami Zayn Makes Bold Statement About The Bloodline’s WWE Future
After a victory in WarGames, Sami Zayn addressed the future of The Bloodline in WWE.
For the third straight year, Sami Zayn was a winner in the Men’s WarGames Match at Survivor Series.
It was the second time in those three years that Zayn was a teammate of Roman Reigns and both Usos – Jimmy & Jey Uso aka The Original Bloodline. They were joined by CM Punk this year as they beat Solo Sikoa’s version of The Bloodline consisting of Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Jacob Fatu (he loves Solo), and Bronson Reed.
Sami Zayn has been linked to The Bloodline since he started interacting with them in segments and matches on Smackdown in April 2022. It wasn’t always a positive thing because Zayn has fought against The Usos and Reigns many times as well, but it’s a bond that will always be there.
The story between Sami Zayn and his former tag team partner Kevin Owens against The Usos was so strong that the four men main evented WrestleMania 39 Saturday in 2023. That was a history-making match because it was the first time that the WWE Tag Team Titles headlined a WrestleMania, and they were won by Zayn & Owens.
Sami Zayn Feels Like The Bloodline Story Isn’t Done
At the post-Survivor Series press conference, Sami Zayn admitted that while he doesn’t know for sure what’s next for The Bloodline, he also feels like the story will never end.
“The Bloodline thing, because of the length of time it’s gone on and the level of fan investment over the last few years, I feel the closest thing I can compare it to is my story with Kevin Owens where it’s sort of a story that is always going to be there. Jey has been doing tremendous things on his own, does he want to go back on a team? What is the future for all of the Bloodline members? I don’t know.
Even if we all sort of drift in different directions, it’s become this thing where you can always sort of float back to the mothership. Much like me and Kevin have been telling a story for over 20 years, somehow we always find each other in our crosshairs. We’re very diligent, just as with the Bloodline in regards to how we tell this story, we’re very diligent about how do it to make sure it’s always piquing the fans interests.
I don’t have a definitive answer for you. I don’t know, but it’s definitely not the end. I don’t know if this is ‘we’re back’ and we’re running it like we did two years ago, but it’s never really going to be over because it’s family.”
Roman Reigns agrees with Sami Zayn about there being more to the story with The Bloodline because he also feels that The Bloodline will continue for many more years ahead.
