When it comes to Sable, WWE made it clear to one Hall of Famer that they don’t want her name mentioned on television.

There are certain names and people that are banned in WWE in terms of having their names mentioned on television. We know why that’s the case for some people, but for others, it’s a bit of a mystery.

Sable was one of the most popular people in WWE during the Attitude Era. She got some of the loudest ovations in that era when the likes of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock, Mick Foley, The Undertaker, Triple H and countless others that are in the WWE Hall of Fame were on the same show.

The reason Sable was so popular is because she is a beautiful woman that wasn’t afraid to show it. Many fans from that era might remember her “bikini contest” outfit that was two hands painted on her breasts. That was 25 years ago at Fully Loaded 1998.

During her WWE career, Sable was a Women’s Champion from 1998 to May 1999 until she grew frustrated with WWE and left the company while also suing the company. Four years later in 2003 after WrestleMania, Sable had a second stint in the company until leaving in the summer of 2004.

Wrestling fans got to know Sable in WWE because was married to “Marvelous” Marc Mero in the 1990s. Their marriage ended around 2003 when she started dating Brock Lesnar, who she has been with for nearly 20 years and they were married in 2006.

Even though Sable is married to a top star like Brock Lesnar, she is never mentioned on WWE TV and she has not been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame even though most people believe she definitely deserves it considering her legacy is greater than some other woman that have been inducted in the past.

Torrie Wilson worked with Sable in 2003 on the Smackdown brand. They had a feud that led to a few matches that year and then they were a winning tag team at WrestleMania 20 in 2004. However, Torrie revealed during a recent online signing session that WWE made it clear they didn’t want Sable’s name mentioned during Torrie’s WWE Hall of Fame speech in 2019.

“You’re not even allowed to mention her name. I mentioned her name in my Hall of Fame speech and right before they told me, ‘Oh by the way, you’re not allowed to mention her name.'”

It is worth noting that Edge actually mentioned Sable on Smackdown this past Friday when he mentioned they were a tag team at SummerSlam 1998. It was a rare Sable reference. No word on if Edge got in trouble for it.
